My Miami Vice: Art Basel
Last week JNJ Creative ventured to Miami and enjoyed one of our most favorite annual events: Art Basel. It's a work/leisure trip: Joe typically works out some street art or a mural or two, and I network. We both enjoy the sights, sounds, and what feels like a zillion "must-see" exhibitions and events popping off during Basel week. We've been coming every year, the first week of December like clockwork, (for about 4-5 years now), and it just keeps getting bigger and bigger— truly a cultural phenomenon.
Below are some snippets of the work done and the works that delighted us this year:
clean water/save the earth theme—Joe "cujodah" Nelson and the RK Crew
snippets of a whirlwind weekend
Contemporary art exhibitions on the beach in huge tents (We definitely hit up Scope)
Parties and playtime well into the late night on the streets of Wynwood, and of course strolling through the curated street art at Wynwood Walls
Concerts, kick-backs, and more.
Sensory overload in the very best way. At the very least, this was another notch in JNJ Creative's mural experience belt ;).
