Big Changes, all aROUND ;)
OK—Being preggers has brought many changes, (obviously) —but what’s equally amazing is the internal switch I’ve undergone, leaning into my own personal level of badassery.
To clarify: nature has rewired my brain to be focused on health, unapologetic in my life choices and uncompromising in the spaces I inhabit.
When I tell you the fierceness in protecting my little fetus is something serious, it’s no lie:
– Cue to your girl rocking a breathing/face mask and bringing my own non-toxic polish to the nail shop yesterday (researching the toxins in polish and fume exposure led me to buy this brand from amazon)
— Like funky breath, if your energy is “off” don’t even come near me. (Also been expanding my crystal collection)
— Our hospital was pushing for a routine ultrasound session every week for the last 4-5 weeks…only because I’m over 35 yrs old. Ummm… NO. I had one at 20 weeks (and before I knew it the technician gave us a 3D one at that). There’s no other medical reason that I need to keep exposing my baby to more at this late stage. There’s no scientific evidence that suggests that additional ultrasounds now has a positive impact on the health of baby when mom is low-risk and everything else is measuring healthy, sooooooo:
Speaking of measuring:
Using her hands, earlier today our midwife guesstimated that Baby might be 8+lbs! How Sway? I mean, I know how, but damn!
Guys, please send me ALL the elasticity-mother-nature-opening-flower vibes. Is that a weird prayer? sure. Am I serious? YUP.
